This page lists appearances of Cass Fermazzi in the order in which she experienced them. This timeline is based upon observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events that occur during each of these stories. From these observations we have attempted to build a concise timeline. It is assumed, much like its TV story counterparts that for each novel or audio series their published/numbered order is the order they occur in. This does not apply to short stories which are often ambiguous about their placement. There are also many gaps between stories.

Travels with the Doctor[[edit source]]

- On the first day of her commission aboard an errand class ship, Cass meets the Eighth Doctor and Alex Campbell. After preventing a plot by rogue temporal diplomat Hieronyma Friend, Cass decides to join the Doctor and Alex in the TARDIS.

- Cass takes her first trip in the TARDIS, setting this directly after Meanwhile, Elsewhere. She encounters her childhood hero Hudson Sage who they discover has been trapped in a time lock.

- Cass encounters the Daleks for the first time during her travels with the Doctor, although has already read up on them in the TARDIS data banks due to the Doctor's frequent mentioning of them. Cass is temporally displaced, leading directly into Nowhere, Never.

- Ending leads directly into The Road Untravelled.

- Cass is once again temporally displaced, leading directly into Cass-cade.
- Cass finds herself trapped in a time loop, meeting the Doctor and Alex over and over again, with it being their first encounter with her each time. She has been travelling with them for a long while by this point. Ending leads directly into Borrow or Rob.

- Cass finds herself back in the TARDIS following the events of Borrow or Rob. She tries to stop Alex when he decides to abandon the Doctor and steal the TARDIS, taking Cass with him.
Death[[edit source]]

- Four years after her encounter with the Thirteenth Doctor, Cass meets the Eighth Doctor, whom she does not recognise, before being killed when her gunship crashes on Karn.

- According to one account, Cass is resurrected by the Sisterhood of Karn, despite Ohila's earlier claims that she is beyond their help and she joins their ranks.

- According to another account, The Sisterhood of Karn hold a funeral for Cass, which the Doctor refuses to attend, however he later visits her grave.
