This page lists appearances of Gustave Lytton in the order in which he experienced them. This timeline is based upon observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events that occur during each of these stories. From these observations we have attempted to build a concise timeline. It is assumed, much like its TV story counterparts that for each novel or audio series their published/numbered order is the order they occur in. This does not apply to short stories which are often ambiguous about their placement. There are also many gaps between stories.

Timeline

Early Adventures

• COMIC: Down These Mean Streets A Man Must Go

Set in 1975. Lytton isn’t yet stranded on Earth, setting this before Resurrection of the Daleks.

• COMIC: Crime Like Politics is Always Personal

• COMIC: Even the Oppressed Own Their Lives...

Stranded on Earth

• TV: Resurrection of the Daleks

Lytton meets the Fifth Doctor for the first time while working with the Daleks. He becomes stranded in London 1984.

• PROSE: Mistaken Identity

Lytton is still stranded in 1984 and recalls the events of Resurrection of the Daleks.

• TV: Attack of the Cybermen

Set in 1985, Lytton encounters the Doctor once again, now in his sixth incarnation while fighting the Cybermen. He is partially cyber-converted and later killed.
