- This story marked the first in the Doctor Who? series since DWM 225's instalment nine years prior. After this story, there was not another for almost twelve years which eventually came in the form of DWM 500's Doctor Whos?.
- This story is the first of two in the series to be published by Panini Comics rather than Marvel Comics.
- This story marks the only appearance of Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor in the series, although an Eighth Doctor played by Bruce Forsyth had previously appeared in The Year Ahead?. This story also marked the last appearances of every incarnation featured in the series, with the exception of the First Doctor.
