Spoilers are strongly policed here.
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.

This page lists appearances of The War King the order in which he experienced them. It relies on much speculation to fit semi-contradictory sources together, and should absolutely not be seen as representative of this wiki's general policy.

Timeline

Life as a Renegade

Under the guise of "Yardley James", he travels with Judy Collins for a time, before leaving her behind to inform his people about a great threat.

The Magistrate

"A renegade" returns to the Homeworld with warnings of War and becomes an assistant to Lord President Umbaste. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
The Magistrate has dark burning eyes, a sallow face and a pointed beard. He sees a vision of himself with six faces, laughing as the universe turns to darkness.

The War King of the Homeworld

President Umbaste dies, and the renegade is crowned the War King. He remains leader of the Homeworld for the first fifty years of the War.
The wartime Lord President sends Homunculette to investigate the Elder Things. He recalls the events of The Infinity Doctors. Several clones of the Master are made through the hatchling project.
The War King invites House Paradox back to the Homeworld.
The War King is consumed by what was originally his TARDIS, Lolita.

The Post-War Universe

Appearing as a man with a rosette, the Doctor's "oldest friend" has survived the War in Heaven by returning in an "unexpected capacity", and is determined to save Gallifrey. He speaks of politics with Scarlette. He is described as having a sallow face and Latin features.
The "man with the rosette" becomes one of the four surviving elementals, (PROSE: The Gallifrey Chronicles) and ultimately dies during the Emperor's rule. (PROSE: Father Time) One of the four surviving elementals bears a striking resemblance to the Roger Delgado incarnation of the Master. (COMIC: Miranda)
