Rutans was a short-lived audio series published by BBV Productions and produced by Bill Baggs, part of the Audio Adventures in Time & Space. As the name suggested, it was intended to focus on the Rutans.

It only ever produced one finished, released story, In 2 Minds, written by Iain Hepburn. However, as related in Downtime – The Lost Years of Doctor Who, it was Bill Baggs's intention to produce a whole series, with Nigel Fairs being asked to compose a theme song for said series rather than merely for In 2 Minds. Hepburn began planning out a second story in the range, which "would have been to do with the Rutans and Scottish independence". However, Hepburn ultimately decided to end his short-lived career as a writer to focus on his day job as a journalist.
