Obverse Quarterly
Obverse Quarterly was a series of short story anthologies published by Obverse Books between 2011 and 2013. Inspired by the New English Library paperbacks of the 1970s, the aim was to release "four paperback short story collections, available both by annual subscription and as single volumes, each covering an area of interest to the genre fiction fan."[1] Several of these were partially or fully set in the Doctor Who universe.
Despite meeting success in its first year,[2] the Quarterly was brought to a conclusion with The Obverse Book of Detectives in April 2013 due to a lack of sales.[3] However, the range did serve as a launchpad for Obverse's The City of the Saved anthology line.[4]
