In addition to featuring parody versions of the Doctor (Doctor Doctor), their companions (Patience Patience), and the Doctor's TARDIS (the STARSHED), the series has on occasion featured elements originating in the main Doctor Who series.
Throughout the series, the characters frequently make use of a Time Scoop aboard the STARSHED in order to bring various individuals aboard the ship via the shower, although several episodes don't name the device.
In the thirteenth episode, Double Trouble! [+]Loading...["Double Trouble! (TV story)"], when Doctor Yes (a parallel version of Doctor Doctor) introduces himself, Doctor Doctor asks "Doctor who?", to which Yes replies "that's someone else".
The fourteenth episode, The STARSHED Experience [+]Loading...["The STARSHED Experience (TV story)"], featured a garlic with a plunger (clearly based upon the Daleks), "the number one Doctor Who baddie". Henry Calvert retorts that they'd come to see a Dalek.
In the seventeenth episode, Doctor Doctor introduces himself as "the Doctor", and Patience later states uses the phrase "reverse the polarity".
