The War Between the Land and the Sea was a spin-off television series produced by the BBC in collaboration with Sony's Bad Wolf and Disney Branded Television for streaming on Disney+.

The spinoff was described by Russell T Davies as centring on the Sea Devils as they "wake up and see the state of the oceans that we have put them in."[1]

The Production Diary in DWM 598 noted that a script was delivered on the 30th of October 2023.

Russell's Letter from the Showrunner in DWM 598 indicated that, as of time of writing, "two scripts so far" had been delivered with "the third being delivered before Christmas."
