This page lists every multi-Doctor story in which two or more incarnations meet or appear in close proximity to each other in the order in which each incarnation of the Doctor experienced them, with an analysis of their state in the memories of the Doctor and any other applicable individuals.

Stories in bold indicate that the incarnation being focused on is the most recent incarnation in that story.

Timeline[[edit source]]

The Past[[edit source]]

An unidentified incarnation of the Doctor, who had been living under the Chameleon Arch identity of "Ruth Clayton", meets the Thirteenth Doctor, who has no recollection of this incarnation, but nonetheless identifies her as being in her past. The fact that the Thirteenth Doctor retains her memory of "Ruth" in following stories reinforces this notion.

First Doctor[[edit source]]

As a young boy, the First Doctor weeps in the barn on Gallifrey when he is comforted by a "kind stranger" who arrived in the TARDIS, where the Twelfth Doctor is unconscious.
The first seven incarnations of the Doctor gather as a "who-tennany" at a Treen colony in 1991. The First Doctor is accompanied by Susan Foreman.
The First Doctor overhears a message from the Eleventh Doctor addressed to Susan Foreman and Cedric Chivers.
The First Doctor receives the Hand of Omega from the Seventh Doctor in 1963. This contradicts other stories (Time & Time Again, Lungbarrow, and The Beginning) all of which state that the First Doctor took the Hand of Omega with him when he left Gallifrey.
In 1963, the First Doctor, considering what is to become of the Hand of Omega, is saved from an Imperial Dalek by the Seventh Doctor, who pushes him out of the way before collecting the TARDIS Instruction Manual, actually a piece of the Key to Time, which the First Doctor had dropped. Regaining his footing, the First Doctor remains unaware of both his would-be assassin and his saviour, believing he had simply slipped.
During the events of An Unearthly Child, the First Doctor meets the Eighth Doctor, who has travelled back in time to make telepathic contact with his past self in order to regain his memories. Unlike other Multi-Doctor Events, the First Doctor remember this encounter and so each of his next six incarnations will recognise the Eighth Doctor when he comes for their memories.
As a result of the Decayed Master's conceptual bomb erasing the TARDIS, the First Doctor is caught up in an alternate timeline which brings him into contact with all his other selves up to the Eighth Doctor. Once the timeline is restored, the First Doctor, like the other affected Doctors, loses his memory of the event but feels the need to check up on Bob Dovie.
In an alternate timeline, the First Doctor meets the Second Doctor.
The First Doctor is summoned by the Time Lords to assist the Second and Third Doctors in their battle with Omega, but becomes trapped in a time eddy. In The Empire of Glass, set shortly afterwards, the First Doctor is vaguely able to recall having met "a dandy and a clown".
The First Doctor is kidnapped to play the Game of Rassilon in the Death Zone alongside his second, third and fifth incarnations.
The First Doctor and his three immediate successors form a band, only to fall out after arguing over who gets to be the drummer.
The first thirteen incarnations of the Doctor work together to resolve the Void crisis.
The First Doctor invites his seven immediate successors to Christmas dinner.
The First Doctor teams up with his other selves to save Gallifrey at the end of the Last Great Time War.
The First Doctor works with the Second and Tenth Doctors to deal with the backlash from a prototype TARDIS.
The First Doctor takes part in a conversation, set up by the Fourth Doctor, with all of his other selves up to the Thirteenth Doctor via the TARDIS telepathic circuits.
Set during the end of The Tenth Planet, the First Doctor, adamant that he does not want to change, holds off his regeneration long enough to meet the Twelfth Doctor. The First Doctor learns about a significant amount of his future, and also meets an manifestation of future companion Bill Potts. He ultimately goes through with his regeneration with the knowledge that his future is in safe hands, with his memories of the encounter supposedly dying with his old body.

Second Doctor[[edit source]]

The Second Doctor teams up with his other selves to save Gallifrey at the end of the Last Great Time War.
The first seven incarnations of the Doctor gather as a "who-tennany" at a Treen colony in 1991. The Second Doctor is accompanied by Victoria Waterfield.
The first thirteen incarnations of the Doctor work together to resolve the Void crisis.
The Second Doctor is summoned by the Time Lords to assist the Third Doctor, leading into The Three Doctors.
The Second Doctor assists the Third Doctor in the battle with Omega, in which they prevail despite a difficult relationship. Afterwards, he recalled how he "[met] [him]self with another face", (PROSE: Goodbyes) and that his "replacement" was "unpromising", (TV: The Five Doctors) as well as that he had promised to replace his recorder. (WC: Doctors Assemble!)
The Second Doctor finds a psychic paper with a message on it from the Eleventh Doctor, and also receives a psychic image of what the Eleventh Doctor would look like, including his bowtie.
As a result of the Decayed Master's conceptual bomb erasing the TARDIS, the Second Doctor is caught up in an alternate timeline which brings him into contact with all his other selves up to the Eighth Doctor. Once the timeline is restored, the Second Doctor, like the other affected Doctors, loses his memory of the event but feels the need to check up on Bob Dovie.
The Second Doctor meets the First Doctor in an alternate timeline.
During the events of The War Games, the Second Doctor meets the Eighth Doctor, who has travelled back in time to make telepathic contact with his past self in order to regain his memories. The Second Doctor recognises his future self, remembering when he came for his memory as the First Doctor.
"Bending" the Laws of Time, the Second Doctor reunites with an older Brigadier and clearly recalls The Three Doctors, refering to both Omega and his "replacement". Together, they are kidnapped to play the Game of Rassilon in the Death Zone alongside the Doctor's first, third and fifth incarnations.
All incarnations of the Doctor, including the Second Doctor, attend the funeral of Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart.
The Doctor and Jamie are older and travelling with Victoria.

He meets Jackie Tyler, learns that he is destined to take on a "Rose" and a "Mickey" as companions, that Harriet Jones is to be the Prime Minister by 2006 and, although they do not meet, indirectly aides his successor in completing his recent regeneration. The Doctor does not appear to retain this information, not recognising Rose, Mickey, or Jackie upon their first proper meeting in Rose, nor Harriet in Aliens of London, and with the Tenth Doctor believing the vapour from some tea that Rose and Mickey had spilt in the TARDIS to be the key to his recovery.
The Third Doctor and Jo receive assistance in defending a submarine from Sea Devils by a crewman who, unbeknownst to them, is actually the Fourth Doctor.
As a result of the Decayed Master's conceptual bomb erasing the TARDIS, the Third Doctor is caught up in an alternate timeline which brings him into contact with all his other selves up to the Eighth Doctor. Once the timeline is restored, the Third Doctor, like the other affected Doctors, loses his memory of the event but feels the need to check up on Bob Dovie.

Fourteenth Doctor[[edit source]]

Unexpectedly, the Fourteenth Doctor's fatal injury from being shot by the Toymaker with the galvanic beam triggers a bi-generation that causes him to split from his newly-created Fifteenth incarnation and live on in his own body. The Fifteenth Doctor's memory consisted of the life that his predecessor would subsequently go on to have, suggesting that the Fifteenth Doctor still counted as a "future" incarnation from the Fourteenth Doctor’s perspective. As such, it is not made clear whether the Fourteenth retains his memory of his newly-bi-regenerated self.

Fifteenth Doctor[[edit source]]

The Doctor emerges from his predecessor's bi-generation, allowing the two of them to coexist. The newly-bi-generated Doctor retains the memories of the life that his processor would subsequently go on to have, leaving him fully rejuvenated from the "rehab" of living a quiet life with the Noble-Temples.
